I have too much inside information on this one to give it an honest review. Thinking back to my first impressions, I remember feeling this one was unlikely to succeed, but then also remembering the success of IdeaVillage's Miyashi cushion (although that product did a lot more).

  1. I thought people don't want to pay $19.99 any more?

  2. Sooo, with that inside information, do you recommend the product or not?

Is this product going to do what is says, or do you believe it is a scam?

    1. Save your money. The cushion flattens out within one week and it's useless.

  3. I just saw the TV ad and came here to get a review. So where is it? Hopefully some people come on here after they get one. Please help us. Is it washable? How long would the cushion part last? Will it leak? Need answers.

    1. Don't order this cushion. It's complete garbage. The cushions flatten out after a week and are useless.

  4. Just ordered two of these cushions. Beware that the S&H for each is $19.95. The website does not allow you to preview the shipping cost before the order is finalized. I'm a little pissed about that experience, but let's hope the cushions are worth the $79 I just spent.Review to follow. Stay tuned.

    2. Two thumbs down. This product is junk

    3. I also was charged for 2 sets, called the company and they changed the order to one set, now they are out of stock and told me I would receive them in Jan.

  5. Just placed an order and found the order summary page showed a total of $99 instead of $79. for 2 pillows. Then I tried to return to the previous page and found that I was stuck on the order summary. There was no provision for reviewing the order before placing it as there is for almost all on-line vendors. Therefore, if there's an error or the customer wants to change his or her mind, there's no way to do this. I have a feeling that I've been ripped off!

  6. The bottom of the page states $9.95 shipping per cushion. When you ordered "2" in the quantity box (that's 2 - "by one get one free" offers), you will receive 4 cushions.

  7. I searched for the shipping-and-handling information and found this site. Glad to see what I suspected was true. I will NOT be buying this ripoff and will encourage others to avoid it as well. They may have a decent product - too bad they aren't honest.

    1. You made a wise decision. I bought 2 of them and they flatten out within a week. Complete rip-off!

    2. You are right. That is a major red flag when they hide their contact information and if you want to return the item they make a fuss. It's all so suspicious.

  8. The web page clearly states, at the bottom, that the shipping and handling charge is $9.95 per cushion.

    1. Don't buy this, they are junk. The gel is as thick as cardboard

  9. Be careful ordering from this comany. On 10/13 I saw an infomercial on TV about the Forever Comfy pillow. I went to their website and purchased the product for $19.95 plus $10 for extra thick gel and $9.95 shipping. It didn't allow me to see the total until I had completed my transaction. The total came to over $64! I looked for contact information on their site for customer service but was unable to find it. A friend found their phone number but they are closed on weekends. First thing Monday I called them and cancelled the order, cancellation confirmation # 254542012. As far as I knew there was no problem.

Today, 10/17 I received an email notification that my order had been shipped. I immediately called them and was told that there was nothing they could do because it had already been shipped. He did some double talk about how they don't get the information for at least 48 hours and because they try to get orders out quickly blah, blah, blah. None of what he was saying made good sense. He said he could credit my account $20 for the difference in the advertised price and what I was charged but I don't want to deal with this company at this point. He said I could return it and pay for the shipping but I don't think I should have to do this. I'm a disabled senior and returning it would be difficult and expensive. When I told him I would contact my credit card company he hung up on me.

I think them sending it out after I cancelled the order was a scam. Overcharging and not allowing customers to see the final price before buying is also a scam.

  10. Well..I can honestly say that the product stinks..literally!! I immediately called customer service and she instructed me to wash the cushion covers..which I did. The smell was actually in the foam. I'm trying to air them out on the patio, but I have a feeling they will be forever stinky. As for comfort..it probably will not address my particular back problem.

  11. Since I'm using a folded over comforter on my office chair, I decided that anything would be better then that. I just now placed an order, but instead of $19.95 for 1 plus a free one and $9.95 S&H totaling $29.90, the total order amount is $39.85 which shows a $19.95 unit price PLUS $19.90 for S&H. They charge an extra $9.95 for the 2nd cushion.
As soon as I entered the order, it went to 6 pages of more products. At least, they don't cheat you by causing an order for an unwanted product. I'll wait for the product and determine, at that point, if I want it or want to deal with a rip-off customer service.

  12. Sorry you all got cheated. Glad I read this before ordering. Thank you all.

  13. I won't order them just because you can't see the total before you pay for it. That's unheard of and VERY SUSPECT.... also the negatives about the cheapness of the cushions is unacceptable. I noticed the cushion company doesn't address any of these issues....very poor on their part.

  14. Was just about to place ab oder--but thanks to your courageous ommentaries---I would not get involved with a company that resorts the such sneaky and underhanded method. If you are an honest company with an honest product -you should be concerned that your customers are satisied and you charges ' returns and business practices should be transparent. This s a company that I'd rather not do buiness with.

  15. I was about to order too. I am glad I saw this site. Thank you for sharing.

  16. I've come across more and more on-line companies that won't show you the shipping charges until your order is finalized. This practice is corrupt and should not be allowed. If you don't see S&H charges before you finalize your order - back out.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thank you for honest comments!
Did not see one that said product worked and was worth the money.
Come on - we all know it does not cost $19.95 to ship parcel post! Making money on the S&H just goes to show what kind of company dealing with.

  18. Oh my, I didn't find the comments until I hit next expecting a summit button! WRONG! I LIKE YOU ORDERED THE ONE BUY ONE GET FREE WELL DOING THE MATH I THOUGHT AT THE MOST 39.00 WRONG AGAIN.$79.90.......I'M WAITING I WAS TOLD BY C. SER. WAIT 4 HRS. AND CALL BACK TO CANCEL THE ORDER. BEFORE I HUNG UP I TOLD HIM I'M, A WIDOW WITH A BAD BACK ON A FIXED INCOME AND THAT I HAD ALREADY CALLED MY CREDIT CARD CO. FOR HELP CANCELLING HE WAS VERY PUT OUT WITH ME AND SAID JUST CALL BACK.........WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. I JUST WISH I HAD FOUND THE COMMENTS BEFORE I ORDERED. 19. I ordered the pillows over the phone because of the infomercial "buy one for 19.95 and receive a second cushion free (plus extra shipping and handling)". First it took half hour to complete the order because of all the extra garbage they were offering. Second, I only wanted 2 pillows and actually received 4 pillows and was charged $79.70. I called the company and talked to a rep who said it was her first day, and I was her second call (yeah right). She was very pleasant and said she would credit my account for the second set of pillows, plus the shipping (total credit of $39.80), so we'll see what happens in 3-5 business days. They told me I could keep the extra set of pillows to give away. We use 2 of them in our Chevy Cruz because the seats are uncomfortable and they do work out ok in the car.

  20. Save the S&H, as you can buy it at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $19.99 and tx.

  21. I bought one at CVS the week of March 17, 2013 for the $10.99 range of price. I bought it for my Mom, but she didn't like it so I was using it. It's been feeling lopsided so earlier I opened the zipper to see what was going on and the gel layer is all wrinkled into a lump and leaking a big pile of gel into one corner of the foam layers. That's less than 12 weeks. The polyacrylamide gel is pernicious stuff but fortunately it looks be be relatively non-toxic.

I am probably going to go and buy something medical grade for Mom. I'm going to complain to my CVS at least but after I read the posts here and elsewhere I am not going to expect much from APG.

  22. I bought 2 Forever Comfy cushions at Bed, Bath & Beyond and was able to use one of their in-store 20% off coupons for each, so I paid less than $40 total, even after tax. But that is where the good news ends..

First off, the "big innovation" that supposedly sets these cushions apart is the gel pack. It's a useless baggie of dense goo that does not stay in place under the cushion cover, resulting in some odd pressure points and creases on one's backside, and constant adjustments to avoid sitting on the bunched-up edge. I thought I'd solve the problem by removing the gel pack.

Which leads us to problem #2, omfg these things have produced the most evil stench imaginable! I have Febreezed them to no avail, leaving them out in the fresh air for days.. not only does the cushion itself stink, but if you use the cushion at your desk, and then get up and sit on the sofa, the sofa stinks. If you use the cushion in your car, the car seat stinks, even after removing the cushion! What foul chemistry is this? I expect to see one of those ads from an ambulance-chasing law firm on TV any time now, calling for victims of the Forever Comfy Lung Fungus to join a class-action suit. AVOID.
