MMAjunkie has the news that former industry leader Glenn Robinson has "died of a suspected heart attack."
In the 1990s, Robinson served as head of procurement for Telebrands Corp. He left the company to become executive vice president of Think Tek Inc., a defunct DRTV company headed by John Cammarano (now of Zoom TV Products). Some of the Think Tek's better known campaigns included the Ab Force ab exerciser, the T-Rex Vacuum and the Silver Bomber motorized scooter. The company also marketed a line of golf products under the brand MasterSwing.
Robinson would go on to create several other companies and brands, including Mindstorm Technologies, Southern Tools (of Bit Shooter fame) and Iron Bridge Tools.
In 2011, Robinson entered the mixed martial arts (MMA) world when he founded a team of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitors. Related to this, Robinson also formed Authentic Sports Management and launched the MMA-themed clothing line "JACO."
